Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. That psychic discomfort is the price we pay for basic civic peace. It's worth it. It's a pragmatic principle. Defend everyone else's rights, because if you don't there is no one to defend yours. -- MaxedOutMama

I don't just want gun rights... I want individual liberty, a culture of self-reliance....I want the whole bloody thing. -- Kim du Toit

The most glaring example of the cognitive dissonance on the left is the concept that human beings are inherently good, yet at the same time cannot be trusted with any kind of weapon, unless the magic fairy dust of government authority gets sprinkled upon them.-- Moshe Ben-David

The cult of the left believes that it is engaged in a great apocalyptic battle with corporations and industrialists for the ownership of the unthinking masses. Its acolytes see themselves as the individuals who have been "liberated" to think for themselves. They make choices. You however are just a member of the unthinking masses. You are not really a person, but only respond to the agendas of your corporate overlords. If you eat too much, it's because corporations make you eat. If you kill, it's because corporations encourage you to buy guns. You are not an individual. You are a social problem. -- Sultan Knish

All politics in this country now is just dress rehearsal for civil war. -- Billy Beck

Dancing in the Blood of the Slain

Why are anti-gunners so...vile?  In a reply at Quora.com to the question "How many Americans own a gun?" one Jay Bazzinotti answered:
I've read stats that there are over 300,000,000 firearms in private possession in the US. Essentially, you can find a gun in every other household, and chances are that if you break in any empty house at random, there's a 50/50 chance you will find a gun, probably in less than five minutes, either under the mattress, in the dresser or in the couch cushions, fully loaded and ready for you to use it to rob a 7/11. Over 500,000 guns are stolen each year -- maybe more, since gun owners are loathe to report gun theft. 30,000 people are killed, about 1/2 by suicide, and over 100,000 are wounded by guns every year. I particularly like the gun death in Massachusetts where a Sheriff gave a full-auto Uzi to a 9 year old who pulled the trigger and shot himself in the head -- a dozen times. The best part is that the Sheriff got off. So did the dad who brought the kid to the gun club and encouraged him to fire an unfamiliar machine gun. It's absolutely hilarious to see the NRA nutbags say there is no gun problem in America, especially when they are paying for the defense of "responsible" officials and parents like these two love bugs.
(Bold my emphasis.)

I love the caring he shows for the dead child. The Other Side™ is always so concerned about the children, unless, of course, it's a child of The Other. Then they can chortle to their heart's content when one dies. He was talking about this incident in gun-control paradise Massachusetts.  It wouldn't surprise me if he wanted a copy of the video of the incident so he could ... nope - not going there.

When people tell you "nobody wants to take your guns away!" point them at Jay Bazzinotti.
